From the Florida Museum of Natural History (FLMNH), this collection dates from the late Miocene or early Pliocene epoch, which makes the fossils about 5 to 5.5 million years old.
These fossils belong to the FLMNH. My job as a volunteer was to pick thru large quantities of sometimes very small granular matrix resembling sand. I use a microscope to search for the tiny fossils and separate the finds into little containers to be passed on to the Museum.
I photographed the interesting and unusual specimens using the DinoXcope camera.
